River Fishing:

The Maniototo has an abundance of fantastic fishing rivers. You can test your skills in both fly and spin fishing, chasing the famous New Zealand Rainbow trout or you can try your luck at hooking the elusive Brown trout.

Lake Fishing:

Central Otago is known for its picturesque lakes. Through Southern Safari you can spend a day, or two, trawling these lakes on our boats fishing for your desired fresh water species. Or if you're more inclined for a something a little more relaxed, we can park up in one of the bays and enjoy a picnic lunch including fresh barbecued fish and then try a little fly or spin fishing from the shore
